What is with the patience guys!!

Orkut is pass!!!
I was viewing my Facebook page, and found an update from one of my friends. It was an image of a tombstone of ORKUT. And that set the wheels of my mind ... rolling!!!
The first successful social networking site probably ... Orkut made its debut in the year 2004. And now people think that it is well extinct. And now Facebook is the new high. There is no doubt that after some years down the line, the same image will again appear in on the net somewhere, with Facebook instead of Orkut. I don't know why is this happening all the time. Is it that we get bored of everything, very soon. No probably not. Its just that as soon as a new networking site is launched, people get hooked to it, just because their other friends have such an account. Now isn't that true? When did you join FB? When one of your friend told you about it? Or you got an email inviting you to enter that world? These days, there are internet bots (programmes which automatically perform some tasks), who send you such new invitations frequently. So every now and then you receive them, and sooner or later, may be willingly or out of sheer frustration, you click such a link, and then slowly you hook up with that, without giving a damn, about personal security issues with the new site. Anyways, the point is no matter what, something which is selling as hot cake, will be in a couple of years, forgotten altogether.
Now if I am writing this post, that doesn't mean that I have an Orkut page, and don't have an FB. I have both of them, but I am just not ready to give up on Orkut.

Some "Reality" Check ....

Well from these photographs ... you would well have guessed ... today I am going to give some gyaan on how lame these reality programmes are ... and why we should raise some voices against such idiotic ideas ........

First of all ... tell me ... how do we depict the youth of any society? What image comes to your mind when you hear the word youth. Do you see 18 year old kids ...  having no idea of what life really is ... having body piercings ... tattoos all over their body ... some funky dress ... some sport bike ... speaking complete  faltoo tapori  types language on screen ... calling unparliamentary names on screen (i must say they dare speak that in front of the whole world ... only that the channelwalas replace them by beeps). I know that you don't see such image of youth of any society.

Now to the question at hand. You would have heard of some reality shows like Roadies (i don't know which season is going on),  Splitsvilla, Big Boss ....  etc. Lot of people discuss these reality shows ... everyday ... all the time. So one fateful day I decided to watch to start with Roadies (some repeat telecast of an old episode). Guess what, I could have killed myself for doing that. The entire episode revolves around some beeps. Every few words found their way out of someone's mouth, there comes beeps along with them. Guess what, sometimes entire sentences ... were made up of beeps. It appeared to me as if in that particular episode, there were few beeps at different intervals, and then words and acts were added to complete the script. Now thats not rocket-science to know that behind the beeps these idiots weren't chanting Om Namah Shivay, they were using the desi slangs!!! Can someone tell me, what calls for airing such horrendous reality shows. Who says that the youth likes such shows???

Now put your hands together for the greatest losers in the world. The photographs of those two losers are shown below. These two baldies, think that they are the saviours of the youth at least in our country. Newsflash for you guys, you think that you will change India,  ... thats not going to happen, until you think that you people are doing great service to our society by being a part of such idiotic shows, doing ugly things and on top of that, calling names. And look at their attitude, as if they are the greatest achievers in the whole world - as if they have got the license to bully anyone around. Anyone who have seen the latest trash Tees Maar Khan would come to know, what these two guys are capable of doing - that's right, making fools of themselves. And you saw that, these people earn their living, bullying teenagers. Now that needs some courage ??? In the latest edition of Roadies, these people have gone even further - they have started beating and manhandling young people, that too on-screen !!! Now that's easy when you have at least 4 bouncers (a fancy name for mustande ... hehehe), who are present at all times around you (though never shown on the screen), and you do all this non-sense stuff. Somebody must be thinking now ... if he gets you somewhere without your bouncers, he will teach you a lesson.

From the sets on Roadies ...
So come on guys, we don't need such reality shows and such people, who use, misuse and abuse, the word youth and take the responsibility of showing and forcing the youth to the wrong path. After all youth is not just about aspiring to become roadies, not just about uttering unstoppable gaalis on-screen, not just about doing some non-sense tasks, and certainly not about bullying people in the name of personal interviews. What do you say guys,  a PIL against such shows???

The Credit-Crunch !!!

Hey guys, today I am writing about a very commonly observed human trait ... I will term it "The Credit-Crunch", for the reasons that I hope would be evident, after you finish reading this post.

First of all, I would like to thank some of my colleagues, who have inspired me to write this post - because they actually are the reasons for such a phrase to even exist !!! No more khufiyapanti (mysteriousness) - what I am talking about is a common practice of people taking help from others (usually colleagues and juniors at the workplace), and never giving any credit to them. I recently have been a witness to such practice, by my colleague and senior at my workplace. Though I was not the victim, but I feel bad for the victims, who happen to be my juniors.

How can someone, get the work done from juniors and other colleagues, and then do not even mention that to anyone, leave alone returning even a casual "Thanks!!!" to the people who helped him/her. I have even noticed people who take help, thank you, and then project that you never helped them - needless to say that similar feedback goes back to your boss (if you happen to share the same boss). How disgusting.

Maybe you will be wondering why this guy is blabbering about such a trivial issue. Reason is that, I have seen this for the first time ........ Seems like we try to take advantage of the fact that our country has no proper copyright law, or even it is there, we give a damn about it .... Some kind of Credit-Crunch or may be not !!!
